Booking Fee and Payments:

1. A booking fee of $250.00 is required to secure the date and services of the celebrant This booking fee becomes non refundable upon receipt of The Notice of Intention to marry.
* If the ceremony is cancelled after the booking fee is paid, the fee will not be refunded.
* If the ceremony is postponed to a date the celebrant cannot accommodate, the booking fee remains non-refundable.
2. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the ceremony date.
* If the ceremony is cancelled, a partial refund of the balance may be considered at the celebrant’s discretion.

Celebrants Commitments:
The celebrant agrees to:
a) Complete and submit all required legal paperwork.
b) Conduct the ceremony in the format agreed upon by both parties.
c) Be available for communication leading up to the ceremony.
d) Arrive at the venue well before the ceremony start time.
e) Present themselves in a professional and respectful manner.
f) Maintain confidentiality and respect the couple’s privacy.
g) Meet all legal responsibilities and requirements governed by the Attorney General

If the celebrant is unable to officiate the ceremony due to unforeseen circumstances, they will notify the couple promptly and make reasonable efforts to arrange a replacement authorised celebrant. Any deposits paid will be transferred to the replacement celebrant, and the Notice of Intended Marriage form will be transferred to the replacement celebrant.

Limitations of Liability: The celebrant is not responsible for disruptions or issues beyond their control, such as disturbances caused by guests, animals, nature or external factors.

Use of Equipment: The celebrant provides a PA system free of charge for ceremony music, compatible with smartphones. While all care is taken to ensure the equipment functions properly, any technical issues or failures are beyond the celebrant’s or operators control. The client accepts and understands this potential risk. 

Travel: Travel within Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and Logan is included. Travel outside these areas may incur an additional fee dependent on distance and costs, which will be discussed and agreed upon at the time of booking.

Couples Responsibilities:
1. Payment of the celebrant’s fee must be made via direct deposit by the due date (30 days prior to the ceremony). Failure to pay on time with no communication may be treated as a cancellation of services.
2. Provide all requested original documentation at least 48 hours before the ceremony. If the documents are not provided, the celebrant may cancel the ceremony preparation and performance.
3. Inform the celebrant in writing of any changes to the ceremony’s date, time, or location. If the celebrant is unable to accommodate the changes, the booking fee will be retained, and the agreement cancelled.

Cancellations and Delays:
1. Notification of cancellation must be provided in writing. The celebrant will retain the booking fee and any other fees paid.
2. The celebrant reserves the right to leave the venue 30 minutes after the scheduled start time if the ceremony cannot proceed for reasons beyond their control. A later ceremony can be arranged at a mutually agreed time and location, with an additional fee payable in advance.

Refund Policy:
Refunds may be considered in the following cases:
a) The celebrant cancels due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances.
b) Dissatisfaction with the celebrant’s professional conduct.

Refund requests must be received in writing. If you have concerns about the celebrant’s conduct, contact the Attorney General’s Office via their website: www.ag.gov.au.

Social Media: The celebrant may use photos from your ceremony for promotional purposes on social media and their website. If you do not wish for your images to be used, please notify the celebrant in writing.
